ZapfinoZapfino is a calligraphy typeface designed for Linotype by renowned typeface designer Hermann Zapf. It is based on an alphabet Zapf originally penned in 1944. As a font, it makes extensive use of ligatures (typography) and character variations. Apple includes a version of Zapfino in Mac OS X, partly to demonstrate the advanced typographic features of Apple Advanced Typography’s morx table format. The version included with Mac OS X contains only one of the 6 weights sold by Linotype. ==Sample== The following paragraph is in ''Zapfino'' if it is installed on your machine. If not, a monospace font is used: Unfortunately, as of January 2005, few www browsers display text with ligatures, not even Mac OS X’s Safari. Copying and pasting the text into TextEdit or any other Cocoa application, however, will display it as it was meant to be. ==External link== * Linotype's description of Zapfino: [http://www.linotype.com/52791/linotypezapfinofamilyvaluepack-compilation.html] See other meanings of words starting from letter: ZZA | ZB | ZC | ZD | ZE | ZF | ZG | ZH | ZI | ZJ | ZK | ZL | ZM | ZN | ZO | ZP | ZR | ZS | ZT | ZU | ZW | ZX | ZY |Words begining with Zapfino: Zapfino |
