==I'm here to write articles== Switzerland_flag">Image:Switzerland flag large.png|thumb|right|125px|Switzerland flag My first contribution to Wikipedia was the Nikumaroro article. Others I've substantially edited include Kensington runestone, Fred Noonan, Song poem, Mary the elephant, Adolf Hitler, Magda Goebbels, Howland Island and Moshcore. There are many others. ==A wikipedia's handy== I think a wikipedia is more handy than a wikicruft or a wikinet. My eyes are peeled for spam, scams, pranks, original research, individual efforts to create neologisms or acronyms and drive-by vanity (which might be anything from a mistake to vandalism). I believe in a rather bold take on the criteria for WP:CSD . I like seeing articles on the subject of schools and largely unknown people who have made documented, peer-reviewed contributions to knowledge or understanding, along with arcane but helpful literary and cultural references... and bands (collaborative efforts involving more than one performer) who've done something musically interesting. ==Sway me== [[Image:Barnstar3.png|thumb|right|111px|The barnstar of diligence is hereby awarded to Wyss for tireless devotion to accuracy in the Sollog article]] I welcome input and have found that the underlying strength of an assertion tends to be inversely proportional to the level of emotion used in the telling. I can learn from and be swayed by: *Verifiable peer-review and scholarly references *News reports and commentary on credible web sites *A few dozen ''unique'' Google hits *Good (or enchanting) writing, which carries far *A polite approach If you're academically an expert on the topic, please lecture away if you like, I may try to edit your syntax, pare down any wordiness and swap out some of the Latin. I'm mostly unswayable by political, religious or paranormal appeals (which can be wontedly rantish) and PoV forks along with research or artistic activity that hasn't been peer-reviewed in some way. I've found editing spats tend to involve one or more of the above, often with enthusiastic contributors who've been editing only one (or a few, usually related) articles. ==These trolls are vexsome== I think the Internet trolls inhabiting Wikipedia are its biggest weakness since they stir up unhelpful vandalism throughout helpful anarchy. When a skilled and cooperative editor comes to understand she'll be wontedly badgered and harassed by online, editing hobgoblins with almost zero hope of help from any Wikipedia:Administrators (except to be blindly accused herself of ''something'' never mind get a patronizing reference to wikipedia:Don't bite the newcomers) she'll often flee and not come back. Whatever, with a nod to Hanlon's razor, this is truly a work in progress and I think it likely Wikipedia'll somehow thrive. :)

User talk:Wyss/a2 == Adolf Hitler == Why did u revert my edit, I think it would be better to let the reader to decide whether this is a propaganda or not. Pics like this are presented in George W Bush article and nothig about propaganda is mentioned there. --User:Haham hanuka 17:00, 13 Jun 2005 (UTC) You plainly know why, please take this to the appropriate talk page. User:Wyss 17:28, 13 Jun 2005 (UTC) :"If people don't realize that some of the most dangerous sociopath politicians have come in seemingly attractive packages (i.e., charasmatic people who don't let slip they're quite willing to see tens of millions die and hundreds of millions suffer for whatever reason), how might they be prepared to spot one in the field?" :how does it settle with this quotation?, and no why my edit was reverted, I turn to you because you was the one who reverted my edit. --User:Haham hanuka 18:04, 13 Jun 2005 (UTC) (User:Haham hanuka has copy pasted an earlier passage of mine) That's the pith of it, however the caption refers only to AH's well-documented populist-nationalist image. Please see the article's talk page for more information on this. User:Wyss 18:12, 13 Jun 2005 (UTC) :It occurs to me that you and others may be thinking I used the term populist-nationalist as a compliment. It's a neutral and highly accurate description is all. As with many things in life however, there are helpful populist-nationalists, and unhelpful populist-nationalists. On the talk page I've placed a couple of Google searches which bring up tens of thousands of pages describing AH as both a populist and a nationalist. He was also an Austrian. This does not mean that all Austrians are genocidal sociopaths. User:Wyss 18:26, 13 Jun 2005 (UTC) ---- So that you know, I have been lurking here (and elsewhere) trying to make a comment, not knowing what to say. I don 't agree w your deleting of the new user/anons/socks comments. I don't think they were personal attacks. And yet... I do think you were largely on the moral right of things, and that he was trying to provoke you... Quite an awkward predicament for me. I really appreciated your rewrite of the caption, it is much better now. In conclusion, no matter how awkward or confusing the situation was, (and it was very much so, for myself) it did conclude w a better article, which ''is'' what we are here to do ... let me know if you are ever interested in my wikipedia:Don't bite the newcomers lecture ;) User:Sam Spade 23:36, 13 Jun 2005 (UTC) In contributing to WP, I've found that in general, among people whose first goal is to improve articles based on encyclopedic principles, even if they disagree on stuff (like we do on AH's death, big deal), better articles wontedly come out of it. By the way, if you ever can point me (or anyone working on the article) to some hard documented evidence AH was alive after 30 April 1945, I'd be fascinated to see it. So far all I've ever seen has been tabloid-quality rumours and fantasies. Also, Linge (who found the bodies with Bormann) turned out to be a rather reliable and consistent witness throughout the 1940s, 50s and 60s, and Gunsche, who helped burn them, also never waivered from his story. User:Wyss 09:24, 14 Jun 2005 (UTC) == These trolls are vexsome == I used your "These trolls are vexsome" in my own user page, and left a link to your user page. I happen to like it. Can you tell me more about that short piece? (contributed by User:Technogiddo) :Sure you can. Tell you more about what short piece? User:Wyss 03:06, 18 Jun 2005 (UTC) == Song titles == Hello, I'm not sure whether you are editor responsible for this, but in The Beatles article there is some inconsistence of song titles. According to Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style#Titles_2 article, song titles should be written like this: "Yesterday"; not ''Yesterday'' --User:Josef Sábl cz 12:33, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)
