Ward ChristensenWard Christensen, born in West Bend, Wisconsin, was the founder of the CBBS Bulletin board system, the first BBS ever brought online. Ward was noted for building software tools for his needs; he wrote a cassette based operating system before Floppy and hard disks were common. When he lost track of the source code for some Computer program, he wrote ReSource (an interative disassembler for the 8080) to help him regenerate the source code. When he needed to send files to Randy Suess, he wrote XMODEM. == External links == * [http://media.bbsdocumentary.com/photos/015ward/index.html Photos of Ward Christensen] from the filming of ''BBS: The Documentary'' People from Wisconsin Programmers Ward ChristensenWho (or what) is "Randy"?
