Hi there. Wikipedia:Welcome, newcomers to Wikipedia! I hope you like it here and stick around. If you want, you can drop us a note at Wikipedia:New user log to introduce yourself.
Since I strongly suspect that you are writing about yourself at XeW, you should take a look at the guidelines on Wikipedia:Autobiography. The page will probably be deleted, as there is no reason to believe that this hacker is especially notable.
Before you start doing a lot of editing, you'll want to take the Wikipedia:Tutorial. It gives all the basic info you'll need as you start contributing.
You can sign your name on talk pages by using " ~~~ " for your username and " ~~~~ " for your username and a timestamp.
If you have any other questions about the project then check out Wikipedia:Help or add a question to the Wikipedia:Help desk. You can also drop me a question on my User Talk:Isomorphic.

:Hi, thanks for your explanation. Wikipedia is not a directory, so your article isn't really what we're looking for, but it's no big deal. Blanking a page isn't the same as deleting it - it'll have to go through the Wikipedia:Votes for deletion process as a formality before it's actually removed. If you're interested in writing for us, I'm sure there's plenty you could contribute. Take a look at Wikipedia:Contributing to Wikipedia. User:Isomorphic 18:51, 13 May 2004 (UTC)
