== Swedish school ==
Thank you for helping clean up my mess! I used the Adventist.org archives and statistics site to get a list up there so that those who know more could do just as you've done. I admit I haven't checked all the homepages, etc., and I know there are likely more of the same, but I figured posting the info on the page was at least a start and could be edited, which I think is what Wikipedia is known for. Feel free to continue if the desire strikes you!
Amiably, User:Cromwellt 14:36, 11 Dec 2004 (UTC)
== Swedish school2 ==
BTW, as I don't read Swedish, it would be difficult for me to deduce what kind of school it is from its homepage. Therefore, your assistance is even more greatly appreciated! :D

== Schools again ==
As an interesting sidenote, I noticed other schools on the list I mentioned from the GC site that were listed in the English version of the name as "college" or "junior college" which were categorized as secondary schools and such, so I'm not surprised that they didn't catch all of them, especially since I found several other issues (like duplicate entries, outdated ones, typos, etc.) on several pages there, some of which I sent revise requests in for.

== Universities in the Pacific ==
USP is not only a University of Fiji, but also of some other countries. Your ''lonely'' category (with one element only) is a wrong one. Please, change it or make it more complete --User:Enzino 21:21, 13 Dec 2004 (UTC)
:Please recategorize University of the South Pacific as appropriate. I am not sure why you ask me to do it. If necessary, you can just create new categories according to the same pattern as others in the same hierarchy. / Tupsharru 22:27, 13 Dec 2004 (UTC).
::Why? You changed the category of USP and put it in the wrong place. Not me. User:Enzino
==Humboldt University==
I deleted the redirect page Humboldt University of Berlin, and moved Humboldt University there. Humboldt University should become a disambig page for Humboldt University of Berlin and Humboldt State University. (I would have done it, but I looked at the number of links to Humboldt University which I would break and quailed.) Since you asked for it to be moved, you get to do the fixes. :-) (I did the most necessary ones - disambig pages, etc.) User:JncUser_talk:Jnc 17:53, 5 Jan 2005 (UTC)

==Sweden geo-stubs==
Hi Tupsharru - I've been working on cutting the general geo-stubs down by putting them in subcategories, so I was pleased to see a new Sweden-geo-stub category! I've put the 40 or so Swedish places that has simple geo-stubs into the new category :) User:Grutness|User_talk:Grutness 09:56, 24 Jan 2005 (UTC).
PS - did you remember to add the new stubs to Wikipedia:Template messages/Stubs/By region ?
== Hello ==
Thanks for the encouraging message you left on my talk page some time ago! I wrote a reply at the time but it somehow got lost in the slooowness that plagued WP at the time, so I decided to get back to you later instead. I'm pleased to see that we managed to save the Mankuzhikarys. As you may have noticed, you also managed to get me hooked on VfD. :) I've noticed that you've just created a Sweden-stub marker, and I've already started using it, adding it to the Bengt Wedholm stub I wrote yesterday (just to take a break from all these politicians and major organizations). I've also added it to a few of the members of the Swedish government I and others have created, and I will keep my eyes open for other places to add it. (Will get back to the politicians to add more biographies soon.) BTW, do you know whether or not it is considered acceptable to double-tag stub articles, e.g. using Sweden-stub together with bio-stub, poli-stub or Edu-stub? I'm apparently not the only one asking - see Wikipedia_talk:Find_or_fix_a_stub#Multiple_stubs.3F. / User:Alarm 19:58, 31 Jan 2005 (UTC)
:I think we certainly could make use of a Sweden-history-stub and Sweden-politics-stub. There is indeed a lot to be done on Swedish topics here, although the coverage is amazingly extensive in certain areas. (When I came here, I was rather stunned to see that we had reasonable articles on Princess Birgitta of SwedenPrincess Margaretha, Mrs. AmblerPrincess Dsire, Baroness SilfverschildPrincess Christina, Mrs. Magnuson but nothing on most members of government and opposition party leaders.) I'm glad to see that there are people like you working hard to fill the glaring holes. I'll try to do what I can.
:I haven't created a category before, but I'll read up on how to do it. I wonder, though, how Marcus Samuelsson would feel if he dropped by here, and saw that he was placed in the same category as the Swedish Chef? :)
== Uppsala and Swedenborg ==
Hi Tupsharru! I see you edited a link to Erik Benzelius on the article you suggested I'd try to get revied for featured article -- you know, the great Emanuel Swedenborg page we've had so much trouble with. I have put a lot of work into fixing it, there are still some old data from the 1911 Brittish Encyclopedia in there that should be rewritten (it is not up to date and it has an awkward language), and a lot more things could be said about about Swedenborg that I still haven't put in there. But I think when it comes to biographies it is always a selection. The 1911 enclyclopedia compared Swedenborg's discoveries with discoveries from that time, such as psychology from the Freudian school, or the Gothenburg system concerning liqour laws (I think the latter is obsolete today). It is more interesting to compare it to recent discoveries of course. But I think everyone has their own view on what is most interesting to mention about someone...
Well anyways, it seems that Jesper Swedberg, the father of the above, was a principal of the Uppsala University, and a professor of theology. I know you are interested in the Uppsala university, so I thought I should tell you, and hope you could correct mistakes you spot on the page? User:Fred chessplayer 13:26, 2 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Geez, the Italian article didn't link to the English; there was no redirect from the (rather common) English name.

Sorry, couldn't do that; Physics in his class are way over my head, that's why I changed my dedication to geology/paleontology. By the way, it was years and years ago.
But I could have a look at his german website, and try to emulate something from there (VfD pending). Mind, I' not a physics expert.

Hello, I would like to discuss in which kind of family Karlfeldt was born in order to avoid an editing war. You changed my correction about ''lawyers'' family. This information was taken from [http://www.kirjasto.sci.fi/karlfeld.htm this] place which I consider credible. Moreover, :de:Erik Axel Karlfeldt, which I also consider much credible, also mentions that he was born in ``Beamtenfamilie``. What's your opinion? User:Alx-pl 10:38, 21 Mar 2005 (UTC)

sigh, he just doesn't get it, does he. The interwiki business is simply weird, and should just be reverted. It also sheds light on his level of understanding of the other diacritics-related issues. I've really done my best to explain things to him, but at this point he should just be considered a "diacriticophobe". It's perfectly fine if he votes against diacritics in votes like Zurich etc., where the community is split anyway, but redirecting anything containing diacritics to interwiki? strange. Hi Tupsharru and thanks for the message. I seem to be having a bit of a "Sweden Day" today - I've noticed that Henning Mankell and related articles could use some work (must read some more of his novels...) - and on the Swedish wiki too. For that matter, why are there no articles on :sv:Johan Palmstruch or :sv:Stockholm Banko in Swedish?! I don't speak Swedish (actually I was quite impressed by how much I could understand when I was attempting to research Palmstruch! (Being able to speak German is useful.) So there's another one for my ''long'' list of languages to learn when I have time...!). I guess that means there's a job for you if you're bored!

== List of UCL alumni -> List of University College London alumni ==
Hi Tupsharru, thanks for the move but isn't List of Universtiy College London alumni a little too overlong? I'm also thinking perhaps it should be UCL people anyway, following the example of MIT: MIT people. What do you think? --User:Stochata 12:54, 24 Apr 2005 (UTC)

== Sweden Municipalities ==
Hello. You may not have noticed but I have made a page for all major municipalities in Sweden except those in Stockholm.
I would appreciate if you would look them through and give some feedback or suggestions. You can use Template:Infobox_Kommun and click what links here. All but three links were created by me. --User:Fred chessplayer-User_talk:Fred chessplayer 19:09, 13 May 2005 (UTC)
: Hello again.
: I still haven't gotten a real feedback for the municipalities. I assume that everything is OK then? It would take a while to remake 290 maps, so if you have any arguments you really should speak up soon. In the mean while, I have made some "real" municipal maps for the largest municipalities. So that you don't have to search for them here they are: KirunaJokkmokkGllivareArjeplogHrjedalenStrmsundVilhelminaPajalaSorseleStoruman (plus some others). I had some problems with Vilhelmina, perhaps you could take a special look at that page?
: I also started of with the tiny municipalities in Scania that require a tiny weeny map, but this got screwed up. See Trelleborg , perhaps you have a suggestion how to order to maps?

==Emanuel Swedenborg==
Hi, Tups, long time. Thanks for your vote on my RFA! I've taken a look at the last month's editing at Emanuel Swedenborg, and it does look nice and stable. The stylistic edits by User:Blainster really lift the pagegood stuff! The only tiny niggle in my mind is the single edit by 24.21.23.151 the other daylooks a bit like a strong religious POVI sure hope it doesn't herald another of those conflicts. Still, I don't want to be paranoid here. If 24.21.23.151 returns, s/he will hopefully raise any concerns on the talk page, so that they can be discussed. And yes, I quite agree with you, peer review now would be just right. --User:Bishonen | User talk:Bishonen 16:51, 16 May 2005 (UTC)

Hello.
I would like a second opinion on two pages. You seem to know one or two things about history and have more experience with Wiki than I have. An anonymous user has created the pages:
* Euphemia of Sweden
* Albert II of Mecklenburg
and contributed to many more.
Especially the page of Euphemia contains a lot of heraldry and is probably not appropriate?
Under http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Contributions&target=62.78.121.189 are some edits he has made, they are overall impressive, and seems like original work.
--User:Fred chessplayer-User_talk:Fred chessplayer 00:08, 21 May 2005 (UTC)
:Lots of edits there! I haven't looked at them yet. The Euphemia and Albert of M articles seem superficially OK, and I don't think there is a problem with genealogy on Wikipedia as long as it concerns notable families or, especially, ruling dynasties. The formatting needs some work, though. User:Tupsharru 08:16, 21 May 2005 (UTC)

== 1276 ==
I noticed you added the coronation of Magnus I of Sweden to the year page 1276. In general, I think it's a better idea to leave these types of events off of year pages, as they are usually insignificant in the context of global history - the context that the year pages are in. There is a List of state leaders in 1276 (and most other years) where this type of information is better presented. The only exceptions would be people like Napoleon, Genghis Khan, etc., who have had an undeniable lasting global impact; or firsts, like George Washington; or when the process of selection changes (i.e. move from a monarchy to a democracy). Thanks! - User:Bantman 23:47, May 24, 2005 (UTC)

==Who is Henrik Petersen?==
Since you are Danish, maybe you can decide whether the subject of the rather obvious vanity page Henrik Petersen (and duplicate HenrikPetersen) is in any way notable enough to stay, or if the article should be VfD'd. User:Tupsharru 17:12, 31 May 2005 (UTC)

You still haven't commented on the question asked above concerning municipalities... i take it you haven't seen the message? If you have, and chose not to answer, and think I am constantly bothering you, then that is your problem.
--User:Fred chessplayer-User_talk:Fred chessplayer 11:57, 1 Jun 2005 (UTC)
:Sorry, I had no intention to snub you. I have just been busy and mostly preoccupied with non-wikipedian matters. As for the Jokkmokk map and its siblings, they are very clear in layout and colours, except for the fact that the map gives the impression of an enormous mass of land stretching outwards on the Norwegian side. I think you should consider either of these options:
:*Alternative 1: indicate the Norwegian coast, or
:*Alternative 2: cut neighbouring countries out of it entirely and use som other colour than blue for the non-map area in order not to give the impression of Sweden being entirely surrounded by water.
:Personally, I think alternative 1 is the better one. I also looked at the maps of the municipalities in the Stockholm area, and I think they look fine. User:Tupsharru 10:04, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)

::: You can click on this image, it is an improvement.
::: --User:Fred chessplayer-User_talk:Fred chessplayer 17:56, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)
::: Is there any chance you can ask some connections for a bot inserting Infoboxes? It would be very easy, as all the datas are in lists List of municipalities of Sweden by area and list of municipalities of Sweden by population. Maps and city arms can be inserted by hand.
::: Also, next year when the stats are updated, it would be really benefitial to have a bot updating them.
::: --User:Fred chessplayer-User_talk:Fred chessplayer 11:34, 6 Jun 2005 (UTC)
::::I don't really know anything about bots, but there are a number of people here who do. User:Rambot is the bot which has been used in creating and maintaining locations in the US. One of the Norwegian users has also used a bot to enter Norwegian parish and municipality data, but I can't recall the name of either the user or the bot at the moment. == Expo ==
In my opinion the best policy would be to delete articles such as these in order to remove what is essentially hate speech from the edit history, and then recreate them as stubs. But VfD never seems to work to that end, so the rant will probably live on forever in the Wikipedia database. Also, I'm surprised to see that a "permission" added by an anonymous user is considered enough to clear an article from copyvio allegations. Anyway, I'll flesh it out slightly, and perhaps I'll come back later to add more. / User:Alarm 15:11, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)
:Considering my expericene from VfD - that articles that have been cleaned up to a decent level are invariably kept "as is", without any action taken towards previous versions - I decided to have a go at expanding the article anyway. I guess I've further diminished the prospects of actually having it deleted now... Do you know if it is technically possible to delete historic versions of an article that contain rants and/or copyvios (while the present version is kept), and if there is any official policy regarding this? / User:Alarm 16:26, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)
