Tuchola



Tuchola is a town in Pomerania, northern Poland in the center of Tuchola forests. The town belongs to the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodship. == Russian POW == After near the town a concentration camp for prisoners of war and interned was established by Germany during World War I. After the retreat of Germans it was passed to Poland in January 1920 and known as concentration camp no. 7. It existed until 1923. At this time it housed mainly soldiers and cossacks of the Imperial Russiam Army. In 1921 it housed about 500 offecers and over 7,000 of rank and file.
