Słupsk (pronounce: [[Media:Slupsk.ogg|['swupsk]]], German language ''Stolp'') is a city in Middle Pomerania Pomerania region and the capital of the region, in north-western Poland with some 100,000 inhabitants. It is also the capital of Slupsk County in Pomeranian Voivodship since 1999, previously the capital of the Slupsk Voivodship (1975-1998) It is a beautiful town only about 20 km from the Baltic sea. In relation to one of its more well known neighbours, it is about 120 km west of Gdansk. == History == === Historical population ===
