Post-secondary educationPost-secondary education is a form of secondary education that is taken after first attending a secondary school, such as a high school. The purpose of a post-secondary education can be to receive vocational education or to prepare for a tertiary education. Post-secondary education in itself is not a form of either tertiary or higher education. Examples of institutions that provide post-secondary education are community colleges in the United States, the Technical and Further Educations in Australia, CEGEPs in Quebec (Canada) and the IEKs in Greece. The term can also be used to tertiary education and quaternary education and associated institutions, especially in Canada. == See also == *Education by country Education Post-secondary educationI'm not familiar with any usage of the phrase "post-secondary education" which ''excludes'' university and higher education, as this article describes. Can someone else confirm this usage, or is it best merged with tertiary education or some other related article? -- User:Rbellin 02:47, 19 May 2004 (UTC) See other meanings of words starting from letter: PPA | PB | PC | PD | PE | PF | PG | PH | PI | PJ | PK | PL | PM | PN | PO | PR | PS | PT | PU | PW | PX | PY | PZ |Words begining with Post-secondary_education: Post-secondary_education Post-secondary_education |
