Newsreel

A Newsreel is a documentary film that is regularly released in a public presentation place containing filmed news stories. Created by Pathé Frères of France in 1908, this form of film was a staple of the typical North American, United Kingdom, and Commonwealth, and throughout European film programming schedule from the Silent movies until the 1960s when television news broadcasting completely supplanted its role. Pathé would eventually merge with RKO... There is very little info on each of these. I would suggest putting info on this page rather than creating new articles until there's more-than-a-stub.User:Zosodada 17:38, 1 Feb 2005 (UTC)
