Navajo

Navajo is no more the name of the Navajo Nation than America is the name of the United States of America. Someone please redirect this to Navajo Nation. ::Now I see. The Navajo Nation article already exists. So most of this article goes there. What stays could be information about "Navajo" the language, and a nod to the fact that "Navajo" is the word Anglo's gave the world for the Diné. :::Navajo language exists. What's missing is info on the history, ways of life, etc., particularly in the eras before the entity known as Navajo Nation came into being. User:A-giau 04:58, 18 Sep 2004 (UTC) ----- Since this is the English Wikipedia, there is no need to explain that ''Navajo'' is the English word for Navajo. That there is a different word for ''Navajo'' in other languages, such as Navajo, hardly needs to be pointed out. See how, for example, the page for German, does not explain that ''German'' is an English word for Germans... - user:TimShell 05:20, 23 Aug 2004 Should diné really redirect to this page? The fact that the english word Navajo has been adopted for all these other uses doesn't change its meaning in navajo. I think diné ought to redirect to the Navajo Nation page. --User:Blackeagle 17:43, 23 Feb 2005 (UTC)
