Minamiawaji (南あわじ市; -shi) is a cities of Japan located in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. The city was formed on January 11, 2005 from the merger of all four towns of the former Mihara District, Hyogo: Midori, Hyogo, Seidan, Hyogo, Mihara, Hyogo and Nandan, Hyogo. As of February 1, 2005 the city has an estimated population of 54,708 and a population density of 239 persons per square kilometer.
