Frequently working with David Kohan, Mutchnick got his start writing for game shows and ''The Wonder Years'', and created the successful series ''Will & Grace'' with Kohan in 1998. It has run for seven seasons and will begin its likely final season in late 2005. He also produced and wrote for ''Good Morning, Miami'' (2002 - 2004), and will be producing two new shows in the 2005-2006 season: ''Twins'' and ''Four Kings'', with Kohan. He has recieved an Emmy award, a People's Choice Award and several Golden Globe Award nominations. The characters of Will and Grace in the series are modelled after Mutchnick and his best friend, Janet.
