User:Bkonrad 02:20, 2 Mar 2004 (UTC) Where was the discussion of the renaming of this article? User:RickK 04:55, 2 Mar 2004 (UTC) : There wasn't one, as far as I know. But the original title (Major Radio Networks) was just so obviously wrong that I thought it was all right to move it without discussion. I moved it to List of US radio networks, but then noticed that we already had List of American television networks, so I moved it to List of American radio networks for consistency with that. It's now been moved to List of United States radio networks. As long as List of American television networks is moved similarly, I don't suppose it matters. Where would you like it to be? -- User:Oliver Pereira 05:04, 2 Mar 2004 (UTC) :: At List of American radio networks, where it belongs. User:RickK 05:06, 2 Mar 2004 (UTC) : I assume you mean my moving it from "American" to "United States". It looked to me like it was only dealing with the networks of one American nation; if it is intended to deal with networks of all American countries, I'll move it back, but we should still probably have a specific article for networks in the USA. (Note: this is an ancient ongoing discussion over vague/precise/appropriate terms, as has been going on at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style (US vs American) and elsewhere for some time.) -- User:Infrogmation 05:08, 2 Mar 2004 (UTC) ::And since it has not been resolved, your unilateral move is inappropriate. User:RickK 05:09, 2 Mar 2004 (UTC) ::: Your opinion has been noted, and in this case disagreed with. -- User:Infrogmation 05:17, 2 Mar 2004 (UTC) ::::Should everything with the words "England" or "Britain" in their titles be renamed to "United Kingdom"? User:RickK 02:21, 3 Mar 2004 (UTC) ::::Hunh? If you lived in some strange alternative universe where there were over a dozen nations outside of the UK which considered themselves part of England, you might have reason to do so. Back in reality, it sounds to me like you're just talking nonsence. Was there some actual meaning to your comment, or were you just fantasizing about some imaginary slippery slope? Wondering simply, -- User:Infrogmation 05:37, 3 Mar 2004 (UTC) :::::There is only one American country...I am most emphatically not an American. User:Adam Bishop 02:23, 3 Mar 2004 (UTC) ::::::Hm. I've lived in more than one country whose inhabitants considered it American, and I am an American in either sense. -- User:Infrogmation 05:37, 3 Mar 2004 (UTC) :I moved that television article to List of United States television networks to provide the consistency requested by Oliver P.
