Wiki vitae:
pix''': graffiti, wisteria, amaryllis, honeysuckle, push printing, angle of view x4, perspective distortion x4, pansy violet, algal bloom, pistachio, almond, Spanish moss, rust, Wandering Jew (plant), shrimp plant, marigold, coleus, depth of field x5, color temperature, cattail, canna lily, kiwifruit, cumulus, spiderwort, dragonfly, and Moebius strip. Also the emphatically mediocre photos at Uxmal and Palenque, taken with a point-and-click camera in Summer 1997 and not the slightest idea of how to take a photo beyond "point, and click," as well as the bad aerial pix at Los Angeles, California--which were taken with a camera whose focus ring was slipping, at a non-perpendicular angle through a dual-paned dirty window of a descending plane, and then went through the rather strong X-rays at LAX not once but twice before being developed. All in all, not a good day for the Nikon. I've released all the pix above (good, bad, & mediocre) into the public domain because I think copyright is commonly abused to stifle creativity and/or free expression, both of which I value more than money. Google images likes some of those pictures too.
'''articles I've contributed to considerably''':
''Blood Simple'' (which could use a bit more external information for me to be happy with it: on funding, lenses used, time to get it all in the can etc.) ''McCabe & Mrs. Miller'' (cannibalizing the DVD commentary), ''The Man Who Wasn't There'', Salam Pax, Sid Davis, ''Six O'Clock News'', ''Time Indefinite'', Henriette Roosenburg, Mark Jonathan Harris, film noir, Dziga Vertov, color temperature, foley artist, Dave Brubeck, Ingmar Bergman, Joel and Ethan Coen, digital video, ''The Thin Blue Line'', and Spider-Man.
All of my contributions are of course completely open for revision, refactoring, removal, replacement, etc., and if you can improve them then please do so. I've seen your article of FBI Here's one tip: when you write a Disambiguation page go to the bottom and type
and people will see: This is a disambiguation page; that is, one that points to other pages that might otherwise have the same name. If you followed a link here, you might want to go back and fix that link to point to the appropriate specific page. --User:Patricknoddy 16:12, 27 Jul 2004 (UTC)User:PatricknoddyUser talk:Patricknoddy 12:10 July 27, 2004 (EDT)
== Your image ==
Greetings. I've been going around Wikipedia, trying to add Wikipedia:Image copyright tags to images that don't have them. I stumbled upon :Image:Openlogo-nd-50.png, which apparently isn't linked to from any pages. Do you still need this image? If so, could you add a copyright tag, so we'll know if it's fair use, public domain, or what? Thanks so much, User:Quadell – User:Quadell(User_talk:Quadell) (User:Quadell/Request for assistance) 17:10, Oct 6, 2004 (UTC)
==Night of the Living Dead==
I didn't particularly care for your personal attack on me in the edit summary of Night of the Living Dead. If the person had written his edit as you had, I would have had no desire to delete it, but his edit was nonsense, and that's why I deleted it. User:RickKUser talk:RickK 06:22, Nov 17, 2004 (UTC)
It had nothing to do with research and all to do with bad editing. User:RickKUser talk:RickK 20:24, Nov 17, 2004 (UTC)

== Article Licensing ==
I've "started" the User:rambot which aims to get users to release all of their contributions to the U.S. state, county, and city articles (if any) under the CC-by-sa 1.0 and 2.0 license (at minimum) or into the public domain if they prefer. A secondary, but equally important, goal is to get those users to release ALL of their edits for ALL articles. I've personally chosen to Wikipedia:Multi-licensing all of the User:rambot and User:Ram-Man contributions under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike Creative Commons License so that other projects, such as WikiTravel, can use our articles. I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all your contributions (or at ''minimum'' those on the geographic articles) so that we can keep most of the articles available under the multi-license. Many users use the template (or even for public domain) on their user page, but there are other templates for other options at Wikipedia:Template messages/User namespace#Licensing Templates. If you only prefer using the GFDL, I understand, but I thought I'd at least ask, just in case, since the number of your edits is in the top 100. If you do want to do it, simply just copy and paste one of the above two templates into your user page and it will allow us to track those users who have done it. For example:
:Option 1
:I agree to Wikipedia:Multi-licensing all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
:OR
:Option 2
:I agree to Wikipedia:Multi-licensing all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
:
Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain (which many people do or don't like to do, see Wikipedia:Multi-licensing), you could replace with -- User:Ram-Man 22:44, Nov 25, 2004 (UTC)

Hi. Do you know the copyright status of :Image:Fungimol bang.gif? User:Quadell – User:Quadell(User_talk:Quadell) (User:Quadell/Request for assistance) 18:08, Dec 1, 2004 (UTC)
==Unverified images==
Hi! Thanks for uploading the following image:
*:Image:Debian.jpg
I notice it currently doesn't have an Wikipedia:Image copyright tags. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use if you release it under the GNU Free Documentation License, if you claim Wikipedia:Fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just ''let me know User talk:Poccil'' where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Thanks so much. User:Poccil_(User_Talk:Poccil,_User:Poccil/Automation.js)">User:Poccil|User:Poccil (User Talk:Poccil, User:Poccil/Automation.js) 06:01, Dec 11, 2004 (UTC)
P.S. You can help tag other images at User:Yann/Untagged_Images. Thanks again.

==Dave Brubeck image==
I replaced your image of Dave Brubeck in his article because I found (I think) a better one. It was also taken by Carl Van Vechten and also from the library of congress archive (so it has the same unclear copyright conditions).

Hmmmm, would you not explain to us a bit more about the first /. then ? It seems it brought many new editors. And who is Wil Wheaton ????
Otherwise, I... yes, I am fine. In case you did not heard (probably not), I will be a new mom in a few months, so, currently need more sleep (hence less wikipedia time :-( ). I should stop working this summer. Now that I have a house and a garden, I will enjoy just being in a rocking chair, et will try to set wifi line to work on wikipedia from the garden itself :-) User:Anthere 21:26, 21 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Someone has put Dorothea Lange as the photographer of :Image:Manzanar.jpg (you indicate you think it's Ansel Adams on the image page but aren't sure). I'm, uh, too lazy to sift through the history of Manzanar to see who put the name on the caption. :) User:Cburnett 06:02, Jun 21, 2005 (UTC)
