TORGHATTEN IN NORWAY - A MIGHTY CATHEDRAL CREATED BY NATURE On the way north along the central coast (geographically) of Norway, you will pass one of the most spectacular attractions in this part of Norway (the municipality of Br�nn�ysund). The mountain Torghatten with it�s characteristic hole right through it, the hole itself has the following dimensions length: 160 meters, height: 35 meters and width: 20 meters. According to the legend, the hole was created when the horseman shot an arrow at the virgin of the island of Leka. However the king of the municipality of S�mna blocked the arrow with his hat, and saved the virgin. As the hat fell to the ground, the sun rose and everything turn to stone. A more likely explanation is that it was created during the period when Norway was covered by ice and snow. Isn't this kind of backwards? Doesn't "John the Evangelist" mean "John the Gospel-writer"? Previously this page was only for people who were known only as John, as Kings, Saints, and Popes are, as they use no last name, but adding guys like Kennedy and Major opens it up to anyone with the first name John, which is just impossibly unmanagable. Are the US and UK so special that only they should get this treatment? I think they should be deleted. In other words ''[The] Good News according to ...''. There is a lively discussion as to the ''genre'' of the Gospels, hence their precise title, while not original but very early all the same, may be considered significant.
