This satire black comedy also features Susan Sarandon as Mimi Slocumb, Igby's cold and calculating mother, Ryan Phillippe as Oliver Scolumb, his "fascist" older brother, a Columbia student for whom the most important thing is outward success; Bill Pullman as Jason Scolumb, his schizophrenic father; Jeff Goldblum as DH Banes, Igby's slimy godfather/benefactor and Claire Danes as Sookie Sapperstein, an older college student who falls into a romance with Igby. Amanda Peet also features as Rachel- DH's mistress who claims to be a dancer but is in fact a drug addict.
