Ichinomiya, AichiIchinomiya (一宮市; -shi) is a cities of Japan located in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. The city is often called Owari-ichinomiya to avoid confusion with another Ichinomiya, Aichi (Mikawa). As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 277,456 and the population density of 3,367.59 persons per square kilometer. The total area is 82.39 km². Ichinomiya literally means "the first shrine" of the old provinces of Japan.
