==International Organization for Standardization== ISO is the short name of the International Organization for Standardization, a global federation of over a hundred national standards bodies with central secretariat in Geneva, Switzerland. This short name is derived from the Greek word meaning equal. It is not an acronym for the organization's name in any of its working languages, though it is conventionally written in all capitals. An ISO standard is an international standard published by the International Organization for Standardization. Imho the standards organsiation or prefix should be first, with the other languages following the prefix wherever that happens to be. From my observations over the past two decades, this convention is ''very'' widely followed in practice.
