Edward Nathan George, Jr. (born September 24, 1973 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American football running back for the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL. After attending a prep military school in Virginia, George starred at Ohio State University. He won the Heisman Trophy and the Maxwell Award in 1995 in sports. Following the season, he was the first-round draft selection of the Houston Oilers (now the Tennessee Titans). George won several National Football League Rookie of the Year awards in 1996 in sports, and was the Titans' starting tailback until 2003 in sports, and has never missed a start due to injury. On June 20, 2004, he married singer Tamara Johnson of the group SWV. He has a son, Jaire, by a previous relationship.
