The population density is 613.7/km² (1,579.7/mi²). There are 389 housing units at an average density of 319.6/km² (822.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 95.85% White (U.S. Census), 0.67% African American (U.S. Census), 0.80% Native American (U.S. Census), 0.00% Asian (U.S. Census), 0.00% Pacific Islander (U.S. Census), 1.47% from Race (U.S. Census), and 1.20% from two or more races. 2.95% of the population are Hispanic (U.S. Census) or Latino (U.S. Census) of any race. There are 320 households out of which 25.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 50.0% are Marriage living together, 7.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 39.4% are non-families. 35.6% of all households are made up of individuals and 20.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.26 and the average family size is 2.93. In the town the population is spread out with 23.4% under the age of 18, 7.5% from 18 to 24, 24.1% from 25 to 44, 23.2% from 45 to 64, and 21.8% who are 65 years of age or older.
