Dwane CaseyDwayne Casey (born April 17, 1957 in Morganfield, Kentucky) is the current head coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves, named to the position on June 17th, 2005. Casey replaced Kevin McHale as coach of the Timberwolves, after McHale coached the Wolves for 31 games in the 2004-2005 season in an interim capacity following the firing of longtime Timberwolves coach Flip Saunders. Casey was a long-time Seattle SuperSonics assistant coach, first under George Karl and then under Nate McMillan. Prior to his stint in Seattle, he spent five seasons coaching in Japan and several seasons coaching at the collegiate level. Casey played college basketball at University of Kentucky between 1975 and 1979.
