[[Image:Dbp.jpg|right|thumb|250px|Deadbird: (From left to right) Todd (Deadbird), Alan (Deadbird), Chuck Schaaf, and Phillip Schaaf]] Deadbird is a doom metal band that formed in late 2002 from Fayetteville, Arkansas, consisting of Chuck Schaaf (Singer, Electric guitar), Alan (Deadbird) (Electric guitar), Todd (Deadbird) (Bass guitar), and Phillip Schaaf (Snare drum). Chuck had just left the band Rwake and decided to pursue his own band. In the fall of 2003, Deadbird finally had enough material to record their first album, The Head and the Heart. The band went into the studio and finished the album in December 2003. In August 2004, the band was contacted by Codebreaker Records and they were interested in re-releasing the album, along with the second Deadbird album. The Head and the Heart was re-released in Europe on March 21st, 2005 and Earache is re-releasing the album in the United States sometime in May or June of 2005. They are currently booking a June tour for the east coast and Chuck is constructing a recording studio with a 2-inch, 24-track recorder. ==See Also== *The Head and the Heart *Mutha's Day Out *Rwake *Chuck Schaaf *Phillip Schaaf *Fayetteville, Arkansas ==External Links== *[http://www.deadbird.net/index2.html Deadbird Official Website] *[http://www.thecodebreaker.net Codebreaker Records] *[http://www.earache.com Earache] *[http://www.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewProfile&friendID=7407603&Mytoken=20050524212411 MySpace Deadbird Profile]
