Deacon John TroyerDeacon John Troyer was a generally feared religious figure in the Long Point region, as of 1922. Deacon Troyer is widely regarded to possess black magic. In 1922, the ''Niagara Falls Evening Review'' reported on his attempts to find a stash of gold, dumped in the area centuries before, by a fur trader named Ramsay (Canada). He had a son.
