DG Scripts is a method of MUD scripting developed at the now-defunct Death's Gate MUD, and is now a common addition to CircleMUD; although not included in the stock, projects such as [http://www.cwg.lazuras.org Circle With Goodies (CWG)] bundle it with their Circle distributions.
The programming syntax of DG scripts is similar to csh, where you retrieve a variable using % signs, like so:
