RepubLikud is a name for the perception of converged interests of the United States Republican Party of the United States and the Likud Party of Israel. It seems to have been coined to separate debates about Zionism from debates about imperialism, by analysts sympathetic to Zionism but not to imperialism and in particular not to oil imperialism. These see the neo-conservative movement as having an American and an Israeli element that expresses itself in control of these two political parties. One obvious criticism of this view is that, while Republicans and Likudites do in fact own many directly benefitting arms corporations, the policies that keep paying these people to do technological escalation are maintained also by the United States Democratic Party and Israeli Labour Party. So these are national, not party, issues. It is probably true that "RepubLikud" ''boldly advances'' the interests of the arms dealers and oil imperialism usual suspects, but it simply isn't true that they are acting in total defiance of any US or Israeli national will to do so... That can go in the article if someone can find a reference saying so. There are lots of good critiques by the Green Party of the United States that implicate the Democrats in these arms races and confrontations and colonial games. I assume something equivalent exists regarding Labour in Israel, too.
