CuacuatzinCuaucuauhtzin lord of Tepechpan Born probably around 1410. He was a renowned poet in the Pre-Columbian nahua world but little is known about his life. His monarch or "tlatoque" was Nezahualcoyotl with whom he shared the same ideas in his poems: :The feather of the quetzal will break, :the paintings will fade, :the flower will die. : :¿Will they exist :in the house of the giver of life?" He died in 1440 ( year 13 knife in the aztec calendar), through a plot by Nezahualcoyotl who coveted his young wife Azcalxóchitzin. He was sent to die on the war front. He wrote a poem in a style called "sad song" when he knew about the plot.
