Hello, I am cjoev, and I'm new here. I am a graduate student in computer science at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. My area of specialization is programming languages, including type theory and (to a limited extent) semantics. I intend to contribute to Wikipedia articles on topics related to programming languages. Entries that I have touched so far include: * funarg problem * subtype and derived type (which I more or less completely rewrote) * Polymorphism (computer science) I have considered taking on the description of static scoping and dynamic scoping, which I agree need to be merged with scope (programming). I have also considered contributing one or more detailed examples to the article on operational semantics.
