There's quite a backlog, and there's no formal schedule. If pressed, I'd say "Usually within a week. Unless it's longer. Or shorter." I close a lot of discussions, but I won't touch that one because I voted it in it. (I don't think that's a Wikipedia policy, but it's my own personal rule.) Looking at the vote list, I don't see a single vote to delete: not even the nominator wanted that. It really shouldn't have been listed on WP:VfD at all. So, the article certainly won't disappear. I would guess the result would be "keep" with a mention that there were some suggestions to merge, but I would hope anyone who wanted to attempt a merge would bring it up on the Talk page first. You might check with User:Dbenbenn, who closes most of the articles that won't be deleted, to take a look at it. I've found him to be very fair. I'm a Middle School science teacher. I think the Wiki project is great and will contribute in the areas which interest me, currently linguistics and the history of mathematics. Is that what we're supposed to write on these "user" pages?
