CKNRCKNR is a Canada radio station, which broadcasts a variety format at FM radio 94.1 in Elliot Lake, Ontario. The station uses the on-air brand Moose FM. The station first aired in 1967 at AM radio 730, and was owned by ''North Channel Broadcasting''. In 1984, the station was sold to ''Huron Broadcasting'', and moved to AM 930. CKNR had two sister stations, CKNS (AM 930) in Espanola, Ontario and CJNR (AM 730) in Blind River, Ontario. All three stations became part of the Mid-Canada Radio Network in 1986, and were subsequently sold to the Pelmorex Radio Network in 1990. Pelmorex converted CKNR to FM in 1994. Due to the station's signal strength (it can be heard as far as Greater Sudbury, Ontario and Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario), the CJNR and CKNS signals were both discontinued. North Channel reacquired the station from Pelmorex in 1996, and subsequently sold it to Haliburton Broadcasting Group in 2004.
