Bzzzt, wrong"Bzzzt, wrong" is popular expression, used often on the internet, expressing disagreement. Punctuation varies. It is a reference to a Robin Williams routine in the movie ''Dead Poets Society'', which itself spoofs radio and TV quiz programs (such as ''Truth or Consequences'') where an incorrect answer earns one a blast from the buzzer and condolences from the interlocutor. A way of expressing mock-rude disagreement, usually immediately following an included quote from another poster. The less abbreviated "*Bzzzzt*, wrong, but thank you for playing" is also common; capitalization and emphasis of the buzzer sound varies. ==References== *Jargon File, version 4.3.1. Bzzzt, wrongShouold this article be kept? :The content is good--I'm sure a lot of English-speakers not up on their American culture wouldn't get the reference and would be helped by such an explanation. There might be better titles for the article, though I can't think of any offhand. --User:Lee Daniel Crocker : Sure, why not? It may be the case that its usage has dropped, but its certainly of some historical interest and is accurate. Coverage of slang and ephemera is one of the things that paper encyclopedias are ill-equipped to deal with, whereas Wikipedia is not. --User:The Cunctator See other meanings of words starting from letter: BBA | BC | BD | BE | BF | BG | BH | BI | BJ | BK | BL | BM | BN | BO | BP | BR | BS | BT | BU | BW | BX | BY | BZ |Words begining with Bzzzt,_wrong: Bzzzt,_wrong Bzzzt,_wrong
