A Boarding Pass is a document provided by an airline allowing you to actually board an aircraft. In some cases, flyers can print the boarding pass themselves. Generally if you have an electronic ticket all you need is the Boarding Pass. If you have a paper ticket, that ticket must be attached to the Boarding pass for you to board the aircraft. Some airports and airlines have automatic readers that will verify the validity of the boarding pass at the jetway door.
