I would have to disagree with this redirect, Dysprosia. FreeBSD is only of the current BSD operating systems. I started the FreeBSD vs. Linux article because that comparison is made very very often, and because I personally know FreeBSD better than the other BSD's. But the BSD vs Linux discussion is also made in general quite often and a discussion there could have value too. A bit too much overlap perhaps, but maybe useful, and certainly different discussions. The BSD vs Linux could perhaps be covered in BSD and Linux. Specifying BSD "derivatives" is like specifying GNU/Linux. It may be more specific and correct, but it is simply not what is 'done'. - User:Taxman 04:51, May 6, 2004 (UTC)
