BKTVBKTV (which is an acronym for: ''Braća Karić Televizija'', in English: ''The Brothers Karich Television'') is one of the youngest television stations in Serbia. It is a privately owned, revenue generating media house with a “G” rating (general audiences or general interest station) and without editorial or content restrictions. The station began operating on December 5th, 1994 with the motto: “Symbol of good television.” The first show on-air was called, in translation, “Little Serbian Reader.” BK Telecom owns up-to-date television technology, modern working environments, four TV studios, numerous edit suites and master controls, SNG vehicles, satellite connections [http://www.bktvsat.com BKTV SAT] and mobile ENG crews. Currently BKTV covers more than 90% of the territory and reaches about 90% of the entire population. It aired the Serbian version of the show "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" ("Želite li da postanete milioner?"), but now that show and The Weakest Link ("Najslabija karika?") can only be seen on the terrestrial version of the channel. BKTV Sat is broadcasting FTA (unencrypted) via Hotbird satellite at 13°E.
