Briefly the policy is to leave the spellings consistent in an article as started by the original author. I assume you are new. Welcome. It's good to have someone else with some medical interests. However, may I suggest that changing spelling like this (1) has a tendency to annoy people, and (2) is a poor use of your time and talents since we have hundreds of unwritten medical articles. Feel free to write an article about paediatric neurology, for example, and I won't change the spelling and will applaud your work. Thanks for understanding.
