Ayako Okamoto (b. April 2 1951, Hiroshima, Japan) is a professional golfer. In 1987 she became the first woman from outside the United States to top the LPGA money list. Okamoto became a member of the LPGA Tour in 1981 and won seventeen events between 1982 and 1992. She did not win a women's majors, but came clear second in four and tied second in two others.
