Axelrodian pedagogy

Axelrodian pedagogy focuses on the theory of liberal education developed by Paul Axelrod and his colleagues from York University's Faculty of Education, in Toronto, Ontario (the "Toronto School of Liberal Education"), such prominent scholars as Patrick Solomon and Sharon Todd, among others. Axelrodian pedagogy is an educational method which explores heuristically--through such concepts as "conflictual values" in education, and "the promising of schooling"--the nature of liberal education itself. Is it possible to reconcile liberalism and indoctrination in contemporary education? Or individualism and multiculturalism? How do we understand the values of liberal education in the context of globalization and a postindustrial society? And what does liberal education imply about the reinterpretation of the world in the digital era?
