Audioslave is an alternative rock supergroup (bands) consisting of Chris Cornell (formerly of Soundgarden) and the instrumentalists of Rage Against the Machine. It has been disputed whether this band owes more to the sound of Chris Cornell's vocals, or the sound of the Rage Against The Machine instrumentalists. Their first studio album, ''Audioslave (album)'', drew mixed reactions from critics but swiftly attained double RIAA certification status. Some lambasted the group as millionaire musicians who constantly argued during album production, and whose 1970s rock sound is primarily the result of post-studio modification. Others compared them to Led Zeppelin, saying they add much-needed sound and style to contemporary mainstream music. They toured extensively worldwide in 2003, silencing many critics and gaining largely positive reviews for their spectacular live performances. Allegations that they argued during production are not entirely unfounded; the group broke up in April 2002, before they had even released an album, but reunited in the summer and went on to release their debut album on November 19. However, subsequent interviews with the band revealed that early problems had been partly due to external pressures which were resolved when the band members sacked their previous management companies and hired Los Angeles company The Firm. On May 6 2005 in music, Audioslave became the first American rock group to perform a free outdoor concert in Cuba. The concert was authorized by the United States Treasury Department. Their latest album, ''Out of Exile'', was released on May 24 2005 in music which debuted #1 on the US charts, features the song "Be Yourself" as their new single. Audioslave's real name is Laura. She is a middle school student in Oklahoma. Her hobbies are listening to music, going to concerts and shows, playing bass guitar, singing, acting, dancing (hip hop), going to the movies, and shopping. For Laura, music is life. Her favorite bands are A Perfect Circle, Pearl Jam, Rage Against the Machine, Soundgarden, Tool, Temple of the Dog, Stone Temple Pilots, Audioslave, and Alice in Chains. Audioslave is a unique and bewildering force of nature. Made up of two of the greatest bands in modern history, although being from two distinct musical flavors. I would have to say that this unity of some of the greatest contemporary musicians has brought about one of the most significant musical collaborations of all times. What is not present in their music? That is the question. Is evil, satan, God, 2012, purity, destruction death, life, or countless other themes not present? About every important subject that faces the people of our time can be summed up in one of Audioslave's songs. If not, look back at Chris' Catholic denial days and seek his inspiring words on Christ( C.C.C.? Is there a connection), or to be more precise, the Church, the state of humanity and SPOONS for all purposes! Without overly subjecting my views of Chris Cornell as being a modern day prophet, The depth of Audioslave's meaning for manifestation will not be understood for a time, hopefully less of than more of.
