At-grade intersection[[Image:Grade intersection on I-40.jpg|right|frame|At-grade intersection on Interstate 40 west of Albuquerque, New Mexico]] Freeways, as limited access highways, normally have grade-separated road junction. In particular, this is interstate highway standards of freeways in the United States Interstate Highway System. Nonetheless, there are exceptions. Interchange structures and frontage roads are expensive, and are hard to justify for a ranch road that sees a few vehicles a week. Several Interstate highways in the Southwestern United States have at-grade intersections in remote areas. ==See also== *Level crossing road transport See other meanings of words starting from letter: AAB | AC | AD | AE | AF | AG | AH | AI | AJ | AK | AL | AM | AN | AO | AP | AR | AS | AT | AU | AW | AX | AY | AZ |Words begining with At-grade_intersection: At-grade_intersection
