Asian Football Confederation

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) is the governing body of football (soccer) teams in Asia. It also operates the Asian Champions League tournament, an annual club competition involving Champions and cup winners from the fourteen strongest Asian football federations. The Asian Champions League was formed in 2002/2003, with the amalgamation of the ''Asian Champions Cup'' and the Asian Cup Winners Cup.
